Default Contribute and administering through MX - 07-09-2004 , 05:29 AM

I created a site last year using Dreamweaver 4, and downloaded a trial of
Contribute to test for a client, set myself as administrator and the client
bought Contributor and has been using it ever since. Since that time I have
bought a copy of MX 2004 for myself, and my trial of Contribute has expired.
Now I am trying to administer this site again using MX and I have just got a
message telling me that I can't administer the site unless I myself have a
copy of Contribute. Is this right? Is there a way around this? It doesn't
seem right that I have to buy a copy of Contribute myself just to get back
access to the administration of the site, when I don't really need the
program for myself at all.

Yes - this is correct. DMX allowed you to administer a CT site. DMX2004
does not. To continue administering the site, you will need to buy a copy
of CT2. The good news is that one copy will work for all your CT sites.
