confirm whether dw mx 2004 testing site needs anonymousand no ssl

through some testing i've found that if i disable the anonymous user on my
dreamweaver "testing site" and/or enable ssl, then dreamweaver can't make any
connections to my databases's tables or test my recordsets. can someone
confirm that this is true. i'm using iis5 on windows 2000 server.

I'm having exactly the same problem. When SSL is "Required" it appears that
Dreamweaver MX2004 and 8 cannot connect to the database connection scripts,
even if you tell it it's an https:// location in the site manager. I work
around the problem by secure VNCing into the server and temporarily turning off
the requirement for SSL while I'm working on the site, and turning it on again
when I'm done - it's a pain but it works.
