Then at the very least see if you can find a way to incorporate all of
the other colors in each section. The obvious example would be to match
the menu items with their section color.
Although your changing the main color for each section does not detract
very much from the site's understandability, it doesn't help much
either. And it leads to some borderline "hover" link states, in for
example, the "Downloads" section, where the hover state is too light.
I have found through experience that color-coding sections of a site or
multimedia presentation is essentially useless if you are trying to make
it mean anything. Most people don't even notice the color change, and if
they do they just think it's something the designer did to make it look
pretty.
The colors themselves have a light, informal quality. Try darkening each
one so that they seem more serious and business-like. These colors would
be great for a business like s day-care center, but seem a bit
light-weight for the kind of business this site is for.
