Default Colour match problem - 06-19-2008 , 08:09 AM

Are some cols impossible to match? I have a web code col as a background, and
just cannot match the colour (even tho it's the same code in Adobe Illustrator
'or' Photoshop)! By the time it's placed into DW it's way off colour.

Any pointers?

Have you tried using the color picker by holding down the left mouse button to go outside of DW?

Thx 4 ur reply - but that gives me the option to select a col outside DW, yes.
But what I need to do is match the col in DW and add to an image so b/ground is
the same. It's this way round that I'm getting a different match.

Not sure what u mean? What I'm doing is this:

Using the same web code col in DW to apply to an image, visually it looks the
same but when that image is imported into DW it's miles away from the orig col.

The problem wouldn't be a problem if I knew how to do a roll over of a thumb
to make another image appear elsewhere (well I can do that bit) but with text
below it - different text for each thumb u roll over. I posted a link yesterday
but it seems it's massively complicated for a novice like me...? :-(

So hence, I'm now having to extend the 'background' of the image in order to
display the text as part of the image (which I know is wrong!)
