Not sure what u mean? What I'm doing is this:

Using the same web code col in DW to apply to an image, visually it looks the
same but when that image is imported into DW it's miles away from the orig col.

The problem wouldn't be a problem if I knew how to do a roll over of a thumb
to make another image appear elsewhere (well I can do that bit) but with text
below it - different text for each thumb u roll over. I posted a link yesterday
but it seems it's massively complicated for a novice like me...? :-(

So hence, I'm now having to extend the 'background' of the image in order to
display the text as part of the image (which I know is wrong!)

Ignore them. They are school kiddies with nothing better to do than to
flood this forum (and others) with meaningless posts.

Are you trying to match an HTML color with a JPG image? That will never
succeed. Showing us your page would help diagnose other problems though.
Can you post a link for us?

http://www.paintedearth-ni.co.uk/artists.html

Roll over the 2nd thumb - this hasn't changed from the query I had yesterday
ie. the text appears in wrong col/style and ea time u roll off & on the word
appears a line lower!!??

Roll over the 1st thumb - the red band at the bottom of the image was the same
col values as the background... but it appears like this.
