Default Color Coding Not Working - 02-01-2004 , 09:03 AM

If I look at the color coding section of preferences, all of the colors are shown but no colors show in the actual code view. Am I missing a switch somewhere?

Hello Sandman,

You may have accidentally turned of code coloring... Click the View Options
icon on the Document toolbar, and make sure that Syntax Coloring is checked.

Good luck,
~Angela

another possible-

if it's a child page of a template, the only stuff that is color coded is
what's in an editable area. the locked parts of the code are black/gray

You're welcome Sandman. Happened to me recently too, and unless I was asleep
at the PC (which happens occasionally) I'm pretty sure I didn't change my
setting. :-)

Good suggestion Alan, I'll be sure to mention that in future responses of
this nature. (I'm noticing that there's been a few, which makes me think
there might be a funky bug...hmmm)

I also asked this question just the other day and my View > Code View Options >
Syntax Colors had also turned itself off :-) which was the cause of the problem and annoyance over the weekend.

Think it must be a bug somewhere around. (I had previously changed my workspace from DW4 to DWMX in preferences so maybe has something to do with that?)

I had the same problem discussed on another post and Randy asked the following:

If you have a recipe that reproduces this (or any other) problem, then
please send us a bug report from here:

I recently upgraded to MX 2004 and it probably happened then, but I didn't notice until now as I normally use Homesite when working in code view.

You know, that might be it for me too. I recently re-installed 2004.
Interesting.
