Someone's going to be updating some material on a site I'm responsible for. I
want to make sure I know which pages he's edited, so I don't accidently
overwrite the new content. I tend to do my ftp work outside of Dreamweaver, as
the the remote connection often crashes in DW MX for me, and some others I know
- so I'm not real aufait with that side of it..
In short, is the solution to tell him to simply 'check in' the files he's
edited, and can I 'uncheck' them once I've downloaded them?
Any ideas appreciated... |
You'll probably get some more technical replies, but a simple solution is
to use a private web page on which you both add your changes (say as a date
followed by a bulleted lists of modifications) at the end of the day. Only
works if you both remember to use it! :-)
