Default Coldfusion on Win xp system - 12-25-2003 , 02:18 PM

Hi,
Was wondering about running Coldfusion on Windows XP. Windows XP comes
with IIS and ASP. I was using ASP so I don't want to loose that. The
version of IIS that comes with Windows XP only supports one web site. It
wants the web site to be located in its directory C:\Inetpub\wwwroot
Doesn't ColdFusion MX want the web site to be loaded elsewhere?
How will IIS know about ColdFusion? I hope this makes sense. I'm not
sure if I should tell IIS to look for the site elsewhere or what to do.
Thanks,

When you install ColdFusion, it gives you the option of installing it
as a standalone server. This is the best option, because it will then
not interfere with IIS or any of your ASP sites, which can carry on
happily working with IIS.
