Default Code View Font Problems - 11-10-2004 , 07:57 AM

I recently purchased a font manager program and have moved and deactivated a
good number of the 2000 fonts on my system. Unforutnately, I think I blew away
the font that Dreamweaver uses in its code view window, and it is now using a
tiny font that is very hard to read on the screen.

I've searched for a way to specify what font dw uses, but have not found the
setting anywhere.

Does anyone know 1) what font DW uses for the code view window and/or 2) where
I can change this setting?

Many thanks,
Steve

Steve,

This is actually pretty easy. Follow these steps (assuming DWMX 2004)

Edit > Preferences
Click "Fonts" in the Category Window
On the right side you will see all of the font settings. The last item in the
font settings is the Code View settings. Set everything how you like it, then
click OK.

You will be good to go from there.

Thanks for the response.

Turns out the answer is simple, though, I'm justified in not getting it at
first.

The font in question is Courier New (cour.ttf). When Dreamweaver didn't find
it, it defaulted to a non-proportional font.

When I was looking at the Preferences > Font window, I was expecting to see
'Courier' or similar grayed-out or something. I did not expect Dreamweaver to
dynamically adapt to a different font as if an expected system font never
existed.

So this is a case of me outsmarting myself.

Thanks again,
Steve
