Code View Disabled

I've noted other users with this problem but found no solution posted.

I can only view documents in design view -- code view and the split
code/design views are disabled. Is there a setting or a preference somewhere
that controls this?

Any help would be very appreciated!

Was your dreamweaver always like this?
What OS and version of Dreamweaver do you have?
I don't know if I can solve your problem but anyone that can will need the above information.

This problem only recently appeared. Prior to that I was able to switch views without any trouble. I'm using Dreamweaver MX (6.0) on Mac OSX v. 10.2.6.

Ah, I'm on windows and I've never used mac... I'm sorry that I can't be of anymore help... Murray may know somthing that may help. (he seems to know everything)

Just as mysteriously as the problem appeared, it seems to have disappeared. I'd still be happy to get any insight to this problem from anyone that has familiarity with it.

Glad to hear it's left! I have heard of similar things happening and disapearing before though... no one really ever figures it out though :?
