click the image to close

I rarely post without extensive searching on my own but I am short on time getting my website on line. I want to allow the user to click the image in the page to close the window. how do I do that?

Well you can add a simple javascript to the image, (I can show you how
if you still want to do this after you read on), but it will not work as
you might be hoping. It will indeed just go ahead ans close the browser
window but ONLY if it is a window you created with window.open().
Otherwise it'll first ASK the user if she agrees to close the window and
wait for her response! Do you still want the simple javascript?

It's a small point, but it will also close a window opened with a link
target that caused a new windows, like "_blank".
