Default Checking what permissions are CURRENTLY set on a server file... - 08-27-2008 , 10:35 PM

How do you check what permissions have been set for a file on your server
with DW?

I know how to SET permissions, but not how to check for what they're
currently set to (for whatever reason, the SET PERMISSIONS option gives me
blank checkboxes whenever I try using it, even after I set permissions on a
file... so it doesn't pre-populate with the existing permissions.

Then how do I know? I've got a complex setup of scripts I'm trying to
duplicate on another server. Oddly enough, the scripts aren't working even
though everything has been copied over exactly as-is. I'm almost convinced
it's a permissions thing, but I need to be able to tell what they're set at
on the OLD server (last thing I wanna do is change them and screw those up
too).

Check the FTP Log. Whenever you open a directory on the remote server, the
FTP Log shows the bits for the files in that directory.
