Default Checkin/checkout issue - 08-01-2005 , 12:30 PM

At my job we've had some turnover as well as changed computers multiple times.
Somewhere in that process check in / check out was enabled and a bunch of files
were checked out but not checked back in. Some of my most updated pages are
ones that are supposedly checked out (by myself on an old machine or by others
who are no longer employed here). Each time I update the files it tells me they
are currently being worked on and asks if I really want to upload the changes.
I'd like to check all those files in so that I stop getting the annoying
messages. Any ideas?

1. Make sure that DW doesn't think that Contribute is enabled for the site.
2. Use a third party FTP application to connect to the site, and delete all
*.lck files from the remote site.
3. Now find and delete the folder called "_mm" (that contains
"contribute.xml") if there is one.

You should now be free of this issue.
