Default Changing file permissions - 04-14-2004 , 07:17 AM

Hello,
Is it possible using Dreamweaver MX to change the permissions of files on the remote site. I need to do this to an uploaded .php file. Or is this not possible?

Thanks,
Rob

I believe there is a "set permissions" extension, available at the DW site.

Hi,
I did download and try both extension versions. It didn't work ... got this
msg 'Setting access properties are only supported on ftp sites???'. This
feature should be an integral part of DW software, not some add-on you have to
go and search for. Luckily you told me about it.

I also needed to define the file modes (binary or ascii) when uploading. Is
there another add-on for this too? I solved the problem by using a separate ftp
utility.

Thanks,
Not Impressed
