Does anyone know how to change the location of the site cache. By default on xp/2k it is set to documents and settings\username\app data\macromedia\dreamweaver\config\sitecache. The problem is that users move around computers but would like to take their settings with them. Therefore I would like to change the location to a network drive. The only other alternative is roaming profiles but due to the number of users we have and profile sizes this is not really an option. |

A similar problem - our cache is actually saved to our roaming profiles (documents and settings\username\) but we want it saved locally. Any ideas how to change the location? |

I've just stumbled across this thread wishing to do the same thing. My network admins are telling me my roaming profile is too big and causing secondary problems, so I wanted to move the site cache to a local folder. With two big sites in Dreamweaver, plus a couple more, the site caches are several 10s of MB. We have had a delve in the Registry and found a few entries to do with Dreamweaver's site caches, but nothing that seems to allow us to specific a path. Anyone hadf a further thoughts since this thread was started? Thanks, James |
