Default change .htm to .html - 08-05-2003 , 07:24 PM

Can someone tell me how to change the suffix from .htm to .html when I save
the document? Many thanks. I just re-installed and lost some detail.

Mike

You have to go in and edit a configuration file. (Edit>Preferences>New
Document to figure out what the name of the config file is; it's an .xml
file buried somewhere in the Dreamweaver directory.)

And further to that: once you find the file, you have to find the long list
of file extensions, and swap the position of .htm and .html

You could just type .html every time you create a new file, but it's just
easier to make .html the default in DW. :-P

You can't just type in .html in the save as box? Works for me.
