Huh?? If this is so (saw it in a previous answer by Murray TMM) - Then why
does DW allow us to format using it?
What other simple little things like that are deprecated?
Thanks, Eleanor

ET:

DW will allow you to do many things that are not valid or not good style.
Good examples are adding table cell dimensions (both width and height are
deprecated in favor of CSS), font tags (need I say more), or even table
heights (not now, nor never was valid HTML).

There's no substitute for good HTML knowledge....

Deprecated != forbidden

You can still use it (at least with (X)HTML Transitional), but the
better and recommended way is to use CSS instead.

Elements:
applet, basefont, center, dir, font, isindex, menu, s, strike, u

Attributes:
align (in most cases), alink, bgcolor, border (for images and
objects), hspace, height (for tables cells), language, link, text,
vlink, vspace, width (for tables cells) and some others

I beg to differ.

beats the living s**t out of any html.
