Default center table vertical with inline CSS? - 11-11-2005 , 01:39 PM

I have a one page 'placeholder' that I want to have the image centered
vertically.

http://www.amycook.com/index2.htm

How can I do that in my code? The only references I can find to this are
for linked style sheets. Including Gary's page. Thanks.

It doesn't matter whether the stylesheet is linked or embedded, Libbi.

hmmm. then why can't i get it to work? right now i don't have code in it.
i read some of the articles -- including the response by you about DTD being
rendered in quirks. i still can't get it. does it go in <styles></styles>
or in the <body></body> or <table></table> tag?

thanks as always.

There's no stylesheet there at all.

I think Gary's suggestion is a good one....

Why is that a problem? Position the button in a centering div and let it
fall vertically wherever it falls....

<div style="width:750px; margin:0 auto;">
<div style="position:absolute; top:200px; left:200px;><a
href="paypal.com?blah"><img src="whatever.gif"></a></div>
</div>
