Default Center Layer in Browser Window (k) - 06-30-2004 , 04:45 PM

I've tried several extensions, but none do what I want.

I'm trying to get a layer to center in the browser window and be 264
pixels from the top of the browser window page.

Persistent Layers is the closest extension I've found, but it only works
on one layer(as far as I can tell). I need multiple layers to be
positioned in the same spot.

Okay, this isn't working either.

Anybody know how to center a layer in a browser window?

I found some HTML that is bringing me closer to my goal.

Here is the code:

div id="wrapper" style="width:360px; top:254; auto;
margin:0; position:relative;"
div id="Image01" style="position:absolute; left:0px; top:0px;
width:360px; height:320px; z-index:1; visibility: visible;"
table width="360" height="320" border="0" cellpadding="10"
cellspacing="0"
tr align="center" valign="middle" bgcolor="#4A0C0A"
td colspan="2" class="thickBorder_LeftRight"><img
src="images/artwork/afaith1_large.jpg" width="294" height="220"></td
/tr
tr bgcolor="#4A0C0A"
td width="182" class="thickBorder_TopLeftRight"><span
class="homeitemTitle">&quot;Fly Me to the Moon&quot;</span> <br
span class="homeitemArtist">A. Faith,</span> <span
class="homeitemLocation">Anywhere, USA</span><br
/td
td width="138" class="thickBorder_TopRight"><span
class="homeitemMedium">Mixed Media: Found object assemblage</span><br
span
class="homeitemSize">10&quot;x5&quot;x3&quot;</span><br
span class="homeitemPrice">$100</span></td
/tr
/table
/div
/div

The centering is working great. Problem is I can't seem to get it to be
254 pixels from the top of the browser window. Sure it is something easy.

Is there a reason you need to use a "Layer"? A static DIV would be much
simpler to center.
