Hi All, I am a recent (and somewhat unwilling) switcher from GoLive to DWCS3. I have created a template page with 4 editable regions, each within its own table cell. In one region I want to insert a Library item which is essentially a vertical navigation bar of links to other pages. I can type into this region just fine, but when I try to insert the Library item, I get the warning "Making this change would require changing code that is locked by a template or translator." And then it refuses. I can paste the code into the region in code view and it accepts that, but I am afraid then the library updates won't work as intended. Is inserting a library item into a region a normal workflow and should this work? Insert point: <!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="subnav" --><!-- InstanceEndEditable --></td Thanks, Craig |

Hi, I just typed a more detailed response, but the system lost it - so now the abbreviated version.... I have not been able to get this working yet. There is a lot happening between the original and the template, and how that interacts with the library. I will have time again on Friday to take a closer look. I appreciate being pointed in the right direction, your comments are helpful. The problem seems focused on the onload tag, which has to come from someplace. Please stay tuned as I might have a follow up question on Friday. Thank much for assisting, Craig |
