Default Case changes when using libraries - 11-09-2005 , 06:20 AM

Hello,

I've been working on a site that a collague built using Dreamweaver on a
Windows machine. I'm also working on Windows and have the following problem:

When I open library files, the filenames/URL's contained in that file are
mixed case, which is fine. When these library items are then included in other
HTML files, the mixed cased file names/URLs are all lowercase! The site is to
be hosted on a Linux server, so this is a problem...

I have a feeling someone is going to advise me to convert all my filenames
(and directory names?) to lowercase to ensure max. OS compatibility, and
perhaps this would be a good idea anyway. But does anyone have any knowledge of
or fixes for, this apparent bug?

If I do need to convert all files/directory names to lower case, is there a
quick way of doing it?

I'm using DWMX 6.0.

Any help much appreciated

There's no telling what you might experience with DMX6.0. Please update to
DMX6.1 at your earliest convenience using the updater from the MM website.

Working all day with DW on both a Mac and PC, I have never seen such a
thing. However, you can avoid it entirely by doing the case thing.

Let's see what the update does for you.
