Default Cannot Restore Site Data - 07-15-2008 , 01:43 PM

Using Dreamweaver MX 2004 in Vista Ultimate SP1, I cannot restore my
configuration folder.

http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/view...nalId=tn_18736 - states
that I should be able to very simply backup my
%APPDATA%\Roaming\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX 2004\Configuration folder and
restore it to my new installation (just re-formatted my machine). However,
each time I do this DW renames the Configuration folder to "Configuration-1"
and creates a new, empty Configuration folder when I launch DW. No errors that
I can see, it just won't use the old configuration data. I've tried just
copying the data into the newly created configuration folder and DW still
renames it when I launch DW again. I'm on the same machine running the same OS
as before, just re-formatted. I had over a dozen sites setup and I don't want
to lose them. Please advise!

That's unfortunate, the Adobe document mentioned in the OP doesn't mention
anything about needing to use the registry when manual restoring. I guess I'll
just have to manually recreate dozens of sites - which pisses me off.
