can I activate a hyperlink with the keyboard?

I wish to activate a local hyperlink with a keystroke. This will open a swf
file in flash player (the default for this filetype). I know Flash will happily
make this button operation, but it insists in opening it in the same window, or
in an Internet browser rather than Flash player which has a good full screen
mode.

Any thoughts appreciated.

ok, can I open any application or file with a keystroke? anyone know?
