Default Can it be done with CSS??? - 11-05-2005 , 01:35 PM

Still agonizing over this design:
http://www.geocities.com/geek_wannabee/test.htm.

I have given up that this menu will work with the program that generated it,
i.e., AllwebmenusPro.

However, I have the images of the buttons in gifs. Does anyone know whether
it's possible to create a CSS navbar using the gifs on this type of menu??
NOTE: IT DOES NEED TO BE ABLE TO USE A FLY-OUT MENU ON CERTAIN BUTTONS
WHERE THERE ARE DROP-OUT OPTIONS.

Any help appreciated!

Jenna

You should check out projectseven.com. They have a ton of dhtml menu
options, both commercial and free, with tutorials for just about
anything. I think that you need to get a good understanding of the
difference between positioning methods. You've made the design complex
by using absolutely positioned layers to hold stuff when you could have
simply floated the menu.

Jenna:

It makes it easier for everyone if you keep your posts under the same thread
with the same subject line (which hopefully says more about your question
than does this one).

And pay attention to Donna's advice....

I'm still trying, Murray. So far I've put in 18 hours on this navbar
project.

You won't require so much time the next time. It's an incremental learning
process, Jenna.

It's not like none of us have done the same thing, you know?

Jenna, if you can wait until tomorrow morning (around 6 a.m.) I'll try
to show you a demo of how it might work.
