Default Can the code print format be adjusted? - 07-09-2004 , 06:24 PM

Hi all:

I'm trying to print some PHP code using Dreamweaver MX 2004's Print Code
option. This works nicely, but I'd like to control a bit of the formatting --
for example, it prints too close to the top edge of the sheet, and the right
and left margins are much too narrow. Can any adjustments be made to how
Dreamweaver formats the code when it is printed? If so, how do I do this?

Thanks for your help!

Jon

Go to "File" and select "Print Code" you'll see a "propertys" button those are the adjustments that can be made.

Huh? Those are printer settings.

Once you click "propertys" you'll see the settings that it has.

But those are printer settings not DW settings. Your response implies that
there is a way to affect how the code is formatted or printed, and there is
not. There is only a way to change your printers process of the data
stream/paper....

Flash, I have looked at the printer settings; there is nothing there that
allows one to adjust the margins, short of changing the paper size (which does
work -- sort of -- but is a HUGE kludge that I'd rather not endure).

It's pretty obvious that there is SOME piece of code that is controlling the
formatting as the file name and page count appears at the bottom of each page
in a different, bold font from the rest of the code. Since so much else of
Dreamweaver is configurable, I was hoping that someone knew of a way -- even a
hack of a way -- to adjust the print code formatting. Or is this feature
something that's rarely used? Am I one of the few who still likes working on
paper over the screen?

Thanks for any help.

Jon
