Button Link to send you to form on an SSL site

I having difficulty doing this.

On my home page, I have a Order Button, when user clicks on it, it sends
them to the Order Form, however, I have SSL enable on my web site and I
am unable to set the button to "https://". I see that I can type in the
"root" directory, but when I type in the full correct path:
https://mywebsite.com/orderform.html It does not work.

I am still learning..any help is greatly appreciated...
