Default Browser troubles with CSS - 07-12-2008 , 07:59 PM

Hi. I have a horizontal menu that is set to 22px in height. The font-size is
set to 16px. The links line up fine in IE7 and Safari but in FF they overlap
below the div they are set in.

This wouldn't be such a big deal but the other 1/3 of the menubar that has no
links in it remains 22px. Thus, it looks like it doesn't stretch down as far as
the links. It looks really tacky.

I float the UL menu to the left. I tried using a clear:both on the content div
(which is what they overlap into) but that didn't help at all.

Then I tried increasing the height of the menubar div but then it only looks
good in FF and the links don't fill to the bottom of the menubar in IE7 and
Safari.

Any help would be good. Thanks.

I don't have the site online yet. I haven't signed up for a domain or hosting anywhere yet. Any good suggestions? All I know that seems good is godaddy.com.

The only thing good about Godaddy is their marketing department. If you need a
host with good tech support, avoid them.

I like webhost4life.com and alentus.com.

Another excellent hosting site with GREAT customer support is www.bluehost.com. I've been with GoDaddy and others. I have a customer's site on BlueHost and I love it. Great prices, too!
