Default Browsebar color - 11-04-2005 , 10:21 AM

Hello, i have used css to colorize browsebars on my website, but they only work
in IE (tried firefox and IE)
and they don't work when the doc tag isn't there wich isn't that big of a deal.
Is there a way to do it so it'll work in firefox and other browsers too?

What is a browsebar?

Do you mean scrollbar?

If so, that's an IE-only thing...and a rather annoying thing at that, so
usually, I wouldn't even recommend doing it for IE users.

Thankfully, no.

Actually... I've been playing with Opera a bit lately, and it seems that
Opera also implements it. It's just as pointless in Opera.

It's a preference in Opera. I can't remember whether it defaults to
allowing it or not. I bet you can guess how mine is set. ;-)

Yep, but it's disabled by default. I don't know how and if it will work
at all if a browser skin is used.

Exactly.

well, it might be pointless if you're dedicated to coding and don't care so
much about design, in my website it happens to fit in well and complements the
design. but it's clear, no better solution possible it seems..
