I have created a browse button (in dreamweaver) to upload files and it works
but my upload files sends only the text for the file no the actual attachement.
Any ideas?

You must use server-scripting to 'pull' the file up to the server. What
scripting models are supported by your host?

Not on my system. Neither in Opera nor Firefox. A standard file-control
is more reliable than your own script-based thing. Additionally the
action-attribute of that form is empty, which will cause problems in
some browsers. Insert the URL of the current document there to be safe.
