Default Blank gif in iframe - 07-09-2004 , 01:14 PM

Hi,

I have a floating frame on a page which will contain thumbnails and full
size images.

I want to be able to cover the iframe with a transparent gif to stop the
pics being downloaded.

I have tried adding a layer over the iframe and inserting the gif in the
layer but it doesn't work.

What's the best workaround for this? I know it can be done as I've heard
about it in the past.

Thanks,

Neil

Hi Murray,

So that's a no then... ;-)

I'm not questioning your superior knowledge at all, I'm just sure I read of
a technique somewhere.

Oh well...

Neil

You may have read one of the many suggested ways that urban legend requires
people to post each time this question is asked, but none of them work to
accomplish the overall goal of prevention.

I think it's a NO. Maybe.

You DO understand that the images cannot be viewed in the browser until
they have been downloaded to the user's computer, right?
