Default Behaviors - 11-23-2004 , 12:09 PM

Hi - I posted this message a week ago, but the only response I got was to try
something my message clearly indicates I've already tried. 'Select Show
Events for 4.0 and later,' as well as some links to tutorials that have not
helped. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Has anyone else reported this
difficulty and is it possible the software is corrupted or needs a patch?
Hello ? I'm a newbie and am interested in using Dreamweaver behaviors to write
Javascript. I'm taking an online class and we're covering this subject, but
when I go to add behaviors in Dreamweaver I'm having difficulties getting them
to show up. I have selected the 'show all events' list (not 'Show set events').
I have tried various 'Show Events For...' settings. When I select 'Show Events
For ...' > '4.0 and later browsers' I get anywhere from zero to three events
listed. Right now I'm attempting to use the 'Validate Form' event, and I can
not get 'onSubmit' to show as an available behavior no matter which 'Show
Events For' is chosen (including IE 6.0!!!). My teacher is stumped and has
invited me to bring my laptop in to let him have a look, but I'm disabled and
cannot get to the college. I'm hoping someone here can help me out. Thanks in
advance. Kristine

Are you clicking on the HTML item, prior to selecting the behavior you want
to add? In this case, it would probably be the "form tag" or possibly the
submit button.

Create a new thread. Your question has got buried in a post made on the
26/8/04.

Not sure how many people will pick this up.

I'm afraid I cant help. I put a form on my DW page, went to behaviours,
validate form (events set to IE 6) and quite a few came up in the list.

What is 'Macromedia Active'? Do you mean 'Captivate'? Is captivate a new
version of RoboDemo or is it still RoboDemo version 5 in a new package?

Yes - those are the settings I'm referring to and I have tried many of them including the one you have selected.

Thanks.
