Background Images not in Template files?

I have used all of my pictures as backgrounds instead of inserting images. When
I go to create another new file from the template, none of the background
images show up but they are visible in the template. If I inserted all of my
images as pictures then everything works fine when creating a new file from the
template.

How can I get my images to appear from the template when the pictures are
backgrounds instead of images?

Couldn't possible answer without seeing the code on your template page. Of
course, there is no such arbitrary restriction on using background images in
Templates.
