Default Background on image pages - 08-06-2004 , 09:23 AM

When I use Dreamweaver to build my photo pages it works great until I click
a thumbnail to see the full image. The full image opens but it does not use
the background or color that I have on the thumbnail page. Its obvious that
the full image is on its own page, but I cant find where to change the back
ground color.

If you are linking to the image file itself, then indeed there is no way
to alter tha bg color of the browser window in which the image opens.
Take a look at my JustSo Picture Window 3 Extension (
http://www.valleywebdesigns.com/vwd_jspw3.asp ) for a way to open images
in a completely customizable popup window. You can control bg color, or
image, add captions, control the location on the screen, control the
size of the popup window, etc.

when you link to the larger photo-

Are you linking directly to a .jpg file?
If yes- there is no page, no background. It's a jpg being shown bare in the
browser window.
