Default background image on nav bar - 03-31-2009 , 01:08 PM

I have a new page I am working on http://www.evertslumber.com/demo.php. It has
a background image behind the spry menu bar. This displays fine in FF, but in
IE7, it doesn't show up at all. The other graphics I am using are all there on
the page, but this doesn't display. Can anyone take a look at it and see what
is keeping IE from displaying this correctly?

Thanks,
Mike

Try adding your background image to the
SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarHorizontal.cssinul.MenuBarHorizontalTop

That didn't work. I did put the background image on the
"ul.MenuBarHorizontalTop a" selector, then the image shows up in IE, but on
those menu items that are only one line (they don't wrap to the second line),
there is only one line of the background image, giving the menu bar a kind of
staggered effect, which I DON'T want.

Without including the bg image in the a selector, you can see a little bit of
the background image at the far right of the menu bar.

This is only in IE 6 or IE7, FF is ok. Here is the page again:

That little bit of image you see is the bg image of the div. Try adding
background-color:none; instead of your image in the spry css.

No Go. I tried putting the "background-color: none" in both the div selector
and the ul.MenuBarHorizontalTop selector. The page looks the same with the
little bit of the bg image on the right side of the menu bar, but the menu bar
itself is as though no properties were applied to the background at all.

Try this news forum, macormedia.labs.spry_framework_for_ajax_prerelease .
They have a couple of spry guys there that might know the fix.
