automatic text break in a table

Hi folks.
I know it´s pretty basic. But I have to draw a 2-column 560px table, and
the first column must be 24 px. However, when I type the text, it doesnt
break automatically when it gets in the end of the column.....it expands the
table and it ruins the structure of the site.
Is there a way of breaking the text without using the <BR> tag??

Put a space in your text. It'll break.

24 pixels is not very width for text. If a word is wider than 24 pixels, the
column will expand to accommodate it. If you really must confine this column
to 24 pixels, you will have to use hard returns <br> to format the text with
hyphenation. Good luck.
