Default auto layers from Project Seven - 11-04-2004 , 05:51 PM

I am trying to create a pop up list using the auto layers extension from
project seven. The problem I'm having is starting from scratch. I want to
create a new pop up menu, attached to a graphic, that can then be copied and
pasted onto other pages. This is so I can make changes to the menu and not have
to make the change on every page. I can't seem to figure out how to begin from
scratch and how to or what to copy and paste to the other pages to make it
function. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Jonathan

Did you try going through the tutorial? What exactly is the problem? Creating
the graphic to begin with? Creating the div layer that pops up?

You might look into using the library for buttons on the popup. I don't know
if it is possible to use a library item in a popup menu, but would simplify
changing the content of the menu, making it possible to change it once and it
will automatically update each page.

While a Library item will work, it would be better and more efficient in the
long run to use SSI (server-side includes) for the menu code....

Do you have a layer on the page?

I will try the library. The tutorial takes you through the document they
include, which already has many things set up. I am starting from scratch,
with
a graphic that I want to attach the menu to. I can't believe it, but I'm
stuck.
The studio VII option is not available from the behavior menu, when I
click
on the graphic. Arghhhh. Jonathan

Ok...this was my first problem. I obviously need to put the graphic in the layer....Ok, I'm on my way. Thank you! Any other advice before I jump into it?
