Default Atomz Search Form Bumping Background GIFs - 07-09-2003 , 07:02 PM

I am testing Atomz on a prototype page for our new Web site with the idea of using their basic (and free) search engine on the site.

Here is an issue that I cannot seem to resolve -- I have posted the prototype page in a hidden location on our existing site temporarily, so that you can see it ... and hopefully help!

The main navigation tabs across the top of the page are created using cells in a single table across the page. Each separate navigation tab consists of text (ABOUT, PRODUCTS, etc.) and a background gif (tab.gif) ... each in a single cell.

The area where I have placed the Search form is also a cell in that same table and row.

When I view the page in Netscape, all looks great, but when I view it in IE, the all of the navigation tabs get "bumped" down and appear again, tiled vertically.

I'm guessing that something about the vertical size of the search form expands the table row sufficiently that the tab.gif that is used for each of the navigation tabs is being tiled in the each of the cells used for those tabs. That is, the search form is expanding the row height, and making the background .gif in all of the cells tile to fit the new height? There again I could be completely wrong. Can anyone help?

Please see http://www.scadawireless.com/newsite/draft3.htm viewed in Netscape and IE.

Thanks!
SW.
