Default ASX file question - plays in some browsers? - 08-06-2004 , 08:29 PM

I uploaded an asx file to a page I created. It plays fine in IE when I preview
it in the browser. Then I upload it to the web and it will not play in an IE or
Netscape browser. It does play in Firefox though.

Any idea why? The error code I get is : No combination of filters could be
found to render the stream. (Error=80040218)

Is there some way to go about making this work w/out fiddling with my
registry? I read the MSE page on that error and it claims that one has to
fiddle with the registry to make it better. Ideas?

Thanks!

Maybe your computer doesn't want you watching a copyrighted video posted
without permission of the copyright owner.

(BTW, it works fine here on IE6 under Win XP-Pro)
