ASP/VBScript sites to the next level

Hi folks,
I'm used to doing ASP/VBScript sites with either SQL Server 2000 or MS
Access database back-ends and I'm really excited about the new CSS 2. But
there seems like there's so much to learn about HTML, CSS, .NET and what not
I'm trying to streamline what I need to learn so I can build W3C compliant
sites without trying to learn the world. So, are there any suggestions,
links, tutorials, recommendations on training and so forth on taking
ASP/VBScript sites to the next level? I'm wanting to learn ColdFusion
eventually but for now my strengths are with the above scripting. Thanks in
