Default asp files F12 - download file???????? - 07-06-2004 , 02:30 PM






When I have an asp file open in mx2004 and press F12 to view the file, i am asked to download the file!

Can anyone help me stop this happening please?

This usually means that you have not properly set up your testing server.

Just tell me how you have defined your testing server.

Also, tell me what happens when you point your browser at http://localhost?

server model - asp vbscript
access - local/network
testing server folder - C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\

url prefix - http://localhost/

i have xp professional as my operating sytem and so are running IIS. does
this look okay?

could it be anything to do with my file system, as i am using a fat32 system
at the moment?
