Default Altering scrollbar properties (appearance, size) - 07-15-2003 , 03:30 PM






I'm sure you've all been to pages where the default scrollbar (either for
the browser window or for a scrolling layer) is made to match the theme of
the site. How is that accomplished?

It's done using IE-proprietary style attributes.

However, I'd strongly encourage you not to do it. In confuses people and
offers no benefit. As a rule of thumb, you shouldn't touch a user's OS-level
GUI.
