aligning columns at right of page

Im trying to make a table within a 1 row by 2 column table that is aligned at
the right of the right cell of the 1 x 2 column table. This new table is 1 x 3
and when I shrink the table I want the table to stay at the extreme right side
of the outer table, how would I accomplish this?

Make the horizontal alignment of the outer cell be right?

what do you mean by the outer cell? I've got the 1 x 2 column with the width
of the right cell of that column set to 766 pixels, with the alignment on that
cell set to the right. Within that cell I have a 1 x 3 table, when I slowly
expand my page the background of the cell gets wider but the 1 x 3 table
doesn't stay at the right of the cell?
