Does anyone know if Adobe GoLive is compatible with dreamweaver? Or if there is an extension to easily migrate a go live site to dreamweaver. I have a possible client who did a site himself with Adobe but is having problems. My gut feeling is that it would be easier to redesign the site with mx, and take it from there, but I just learned that he's already created a multitude of pages. Is there an easy way? |

Try opening the index page in Dreamweaver and see what happens? I think in the long run your best bet is to redesign the site in Dreamweaver. -- Cheers, Linda Rathgeber ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Learn Fireworks Visual Effects with "RAZZLE DAZZLE" http://www.webdevbiz.com/pwf/ Victoriana | http://www.projectseven.com Playing with Fire | http://www.playingwithfire.com Team MM Fireworks Volunteer | www.macromedia.com/go/team ---------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Linda, thank you! I will get the site early next week, I've just looked at the source code from a test page, and it's pretty confusing. Louise Adobe Golive has a feature that you can export the entire site and strip out all of the proprietary code (which is a lot). Where you'd probably run into problems is if the site was built with the Adobe Golive Actions (JavaScript stuff). You can download a free 30-day demo of Adobe Golive and see if that'll work for you. I gave up on Golive a couple of versions back so I don't have any recent experience with the application. You can possibly get some answers over at Adobe's User-to-User Forum too. They have one forum for Golive Windows and another for Golive Macintosh. Weird. |
