Default 4Level Open Browser & Formmail - 08-19-2003 , 09:33 PM

I created a simple CGI/Perl feedback form using "Formmail"(CGI script) which tested & functioned correctly. Then I decided to open my form in a new browser window so that the user could get back to my site more reliably (formmail's submission verification page is too difficult for me to customize so I'd rather it appeared in a new browser window).

I used the dreamweaver extension "4Level Open Browser" to do this. NOW my form seems to submit and I get the verification page BUT I am not receiving any of the form data via my e-mail (as I was before).

I'm not getting any error messages, can't find any broken links, everything looks normal but now I am just not getting any email via the sendmail routine.

Has anybody here ever used the Form mail CGI script (from NMS) along with the 4Level Open Browser extension??
Does using these together cause some kind of conflict?
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks -Lu Buckner

Hi Lu,

I don't think it has anything to do with the 4Level Open Browser per say.

A few questions ...

Have you also tried this with the MM Open Browser or another open window
script to see if the results are the same? Are you closing the popup after
submission? Does the verification page load in the main page or the popup?
Could you possibly provide a link to the page?

THanks for your response-
I didn't provide the link because all I am doing with my site is experimenting to get things to look right and function. I'm changing things every day. But I will leave it as it is (not much to it) so you can have a look > it's SculpturalImaging.com

I suspect it may have to do with my "path to sendmail" somehow being "corrupted" by opening my form in a separate browser window- but I really don't know. -which is not specifically a problem with 4Level open browser. -Lu B.sculpturalimaging.com
