Is there a way to have 2 different link colors on a page? I want
yellow as the link color on the gray navigation bar on the right.
But I want the links to be blue in the white area to the left. Is
this possible? Perhaps through some CSS setting? Thanks.

Ghost,
It has been about 4 hours since your original post, in that time you could
have read the tutorial that Al posted and implemented his advice on your
site....

What happens the next time you need to do this - learn how to do it
correctly the first time. No easy way to do this the first time, but it does
get easier if you read and learn.

I've been away working on a few other things. I want to learn via the
Dreamweaver MX 2004 interface, or just paste the code appropriately. I'm not a
hand coder--just a designer. I asked at this forum because it's the
"Dreamweaver" forum. So I would like to know how to get things to work via
Dreamweaver--not Notepad. : \

The tutorial uses Dreamweaver MX 2004 interface. I give up. Hopeless
case :-)

LOL :-) You did give them a second chance Al, which is more than most
people would

There's no such thing as "just a designer" on the web.
Visual designers inevitably learn a little bit of code and coders inevitably
learn a little bit of designing something which pleases most people
visually. The divide is getting blurrier by the day.

Learning to write CSS rules by hand is little more than writing an English
sentence (it's far removed from hardcore C++ and object-oriented
rogramming -- which I know little about) and DW's CSS editor is not the
quickest or most intuitive beast to use at times.

Just give it a go.

I asked at

....and Al's tutorial gives you a Dreamweaver answer. Once you've done it
once, you'll wonder what you were afraid of.

Chiming in with a tangent thought:

I've used the PVII tutorials and found them to be extremely helpful and easy
to understand. In fact, between this forum and PVII and other sites (like
Nadia's!), I'm learning quite a bit about DW *as well as* hand coding. I'm
also finding that I *need* to learn to do real code for certain
things...such as the ALT attributes I learned about over the weekend.

So...from someone who is a web designer *third* ( consulting and writing
take 1st and 2nd, not to mention a second career as a professional
musician!), my hat's off to all here who have helped me, and to sites like
PVII! I can't tell you how much you've helped!

All the best!

Lane

Nice of you to say so, thanks Lane.
