<snorts> I've been held back by the warning that says the forums aren't working. I finally decided to see for myself. So far, so good!

I use DW and FW. I don't use Flash. If you are building static pages, you
don't need CF.

I suppose I could start out by just buying Dreamweaver.

Is it possible to make money creating web sites for people only using
Dreamweaver though? It seems to me I need flash, Fireworks, cold fusion
and
other programs to make a website that is worthy enough to get paid to
make.

Yeah, I know what you mean, it's almost seems like "To make money I need
Studio MX 2004. But I get Studio MX 2004, I need to make money". But it's
not
really like that, DW is just a tool to help you do faster, what you should
be
able to do anyway. Make a couple sites for some people using what you
know, or
maybe make a deal with someone. You make them a website, and they pay for
Studio MX.

Anyway, to answer your question, yes you can make money with only DW, you
could probably use your moms stuff for the graphics, right? And then you
could
get Flash and whatever else you need.

As I understand it, the CF component (developers edition) is effectively
free since it's a single licence designed for local testing?

One thing though (hey flash!), having a flash pre-loader DOES NOT help the
download time. It does however give them the status of the page. But does not
do ANYTHING to speed it up. I'm sure you know this, but it could've been a
mis-understanding. ;-)

Jake... I'm going to be the bigger man and ignore him... there wasn't even a reason for his last post.
