A java newsgroup might be a good place to start, unless you mean javaSCRIPT,

in which my first recommendation would be www.javascript.com and
www.dynamicdrive.com for cut-n-paste examples, and
http://www.developer.irt.org/script/script.htm for answers and arguments to
some questions.
