SELECT OPTION rollover text

I've got a standard <SELECT>
<OPTION value="1"> no 1 value</OPTION>
<OPTION value="2"> no 2 value</OPTION>
</SELECT>

How can I make it where if I have the mouse over some OPTION then some
alternative text will appear relating to that specific <OPTION>.

Could any point me in the right direction?
