Hi, I'm running Apache 2.0.40 with mod_ssl. I'd like to recursively protect a single directory with https. SSL is already functioning. Only thing that is tripping me up is redirecting any request from http://www.myserver.com/protected to https://www.myserver.com/protected. Any tips or advice? |

Wrong group. Try alt.apache.configuration - follow-up's set. |

As long as we're being picky with our punctuation, how about "follow-up is set," with the comma inside the quotation mark where it belongs? :-p |

Gowers on my side here); it went there for mechanical reasons of hot-type technology, and now the USAns refuse to drop the silly habit. I recall an IBM manual which directed the operator blah blah blah and type the command "END." which produced the easily predictable result when our operator followed the instruction: Unknown command "END." since the command was /really/ meant to be "END", not "END.". |

Somewhat resembles the traditional WIN/DOS procedure where software tells us to "press any key to continue" and the user comes back to say "there is no 'any' key on my keyboard" :-) |

Damn, I'm finished. Unless I can get one of the regulars on my side of the debate. |

Over here we put it where it makes sense, not automatically as part of the quotation. |
