Default Images Won't Display - 05-06-2008 , 05:03 PM

Hi,

I cannot understand why my images aren't showing on this page (http://
www.sweetwatercabana.com/may2008-email2.html) when I paste the links
into a browser, the images show up. Can anyone tell me?

Thanks!

While you seem to be using XHTML, your server is providing the page as
HTML. Either fix your server, or else convert the page into HTML.
Given the problems various browsers have with XHTML (especially Internet
Explorer), I suggest the latter (converting to HTML).

Have you been using Netscape and now feel abandoned by AOL?
Then use SeaMonkey. Go to <http://www.seamonkey-project.org/>.

Missing the ".com" is the URLs of the images on your page.

Firefox adds the '.com' automatically when the broken image URLs are
pasted in the browser. IE7 does not.

Lesson here is don't rely on browser error-correction something that
Windows-centric web designers have done with IE and soon if MS decides
to ever make a standards compliant browsers will break a large number of
these poorly composed websites.
